These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the CMB Handyman Services website, quote forms, communication systems, and handyman, repair, renovation, installation, maintenance, and related home services.
By using our website, submitting a quote request, scheduling an appointment, approving a written quote, or entering into a service agreement with CMB Handyman Services, you agree to the portions of these Terms and Conditions that apply to your interaction with us.

The availability of any service depends on the nature of the work, property conditions, location, scheduling, materials, licensing requirements, and whether the requested work falls within our capabilities.
2. Website Use
The information on our website is provided for general information about CMB Handyman Services and the services we may offer.
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
- Submit false or misleading information;
- Attempt to interfere with the website, forms, communication systems, or security features;
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or unauthorized automated traffic;
- Copy or misuse website content, branding, photographs, or materials;
- Impersonate another person; or
- Submit another person’s contact information without authorization.
We may restrict or block website access where misuse, fraud, abuse, or a security concern is suspected.
3. Quote Requests Do Not Create a Contract
Submitting a website form, sending a message, requesting a quote, calling CMB Handyman Services, or receiving an automated response does not create a binding service contract.
A project becomes approved only when: CMB Handyman Services provides a written quote, estimate, work order, or service agreement; The customer accepts it in the required manner; and Any required deposit or other starting requirement has been completed.
We may decline a quote request or service request at our discretion where the work is outside our service area, abilities, availability, insurance coverage, licensing, safety requirements, or normal business operations.
4. Project Agreements
The specific details of each project will be set out in a written quote, estimate, work order, change order, invoice, or service agreement.
The project agreement may include: The work to be completed; Materials to be supplied; Excluded work; Estimated or fixed pricing; Taxes; Deposits and payment dates; Expected start and completion dates; Customer responsibilities; Permit responsibilities; Warranty information; Cancellation terms; and Any project-specific conditions.
Where a written project agreement conflicts with these website Terms and Conditions, the project agreement will control for that particular job.
Verbal discussions do not change an approved project agreement unless the change is confirmed by CMB Handyman Services in writing.
5. Quotes and Estimates
A quote or estimate is based on the information and property conditions known at the time it is prepared.
Customers must provide accurate information about: The requested work; Property conditions; Measurements; Existing damage; Previous repairs; Electrical, plumbing, structural, or moisture issues; Known hazardous materials; Access limitations; and Any other condition that could affect the work.
An estimate is an approximation and may change if the actual labour, materials, conditions, or project requirements differ from what was originally expected.
A fixed quote applies only to the work specifically described in the quote. Additional work, changed instructions, hidden damage, code issues, material changes, or unexpected conditions may result in additional charges.
Quotes remain valid for the period stated in the quote. Material pricing and availability may change after that period.
6. Deposits and Payments
Deposits, progress payments, and final-payment requirements will be stated in the written quote or project agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing: Payments must be made according to the approved payment schedule; The final balance is due when the agreed work is substantially completed; Additional approved work may be added to the final invoice; Applicable taxes will be added where required; Materials may not be ordered until the required deposit is received; and Work may be delayed or suspended if a required payment is not made.
CMB Handyman Services may charge reasonable late-payment, collection, or returned-payment costs only where disclosed in the project agreement and permitted by law.
The customer is responsible for reviewing invoices and promptly reporting any suspected billing error.
7. Changes and Additional Work
Customers must not request significant additions or changes from workers at the property without first receiving approval from CMB Handyman Services.
Changes may affect: Price; Material requirements; Scheduling; Completion dates; Permit requirements; and Previously completed work.
Additional work should be documented through a written change order, updated quote, email, text confirmation, or other written approval before the additional work begins.
If an unexpected condition creates a safety concern or makes the original work impractical, we may stop work until the customer approves the necessary changes.
8. Scheduling and Delays
Start dates and completion dates are estimates unless CMB Handyman Services expressly guarantees a date in writing.
Scheduling may be affected by: Weather; Material availability; Supplier delays; Subcontractor availability; Permit or inspection delays; Hidden property conditions; Customer-requested changes; Illness or emergency; Unsafe working conditions; Utility interruptions; or Other circumstances reasonably outside our control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes.
CMB Handyman Services is not responsible for reasonable delays caused by circumstances outside our control.
9. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate project and contact information;
- Confirm that they own the property or are authorized to approve the work;

- Secure pets and keep children away from active work areas;
- Provide access to electricity, water, washroom facilities, or other utilities where agreed;

- Identify known private utility lines, sprinkler systems, underground wiring, security systems, or hidden installations;
- Obtain condominium, landlord, property-manager, or other required approvals unless otherwise agreed; and
- Avoid interfering with or directing workers in a manner that creates a safety or quality concern.
Additional time or costs caused by unavailable access, undisclosed conditions, unprepared work areas, or incorrect customer information may be charged to the customer where reasonable and disclosed.
10. Property Access and Site Safety
CMB Handyman Services may refuse to begin or continue work where the property presents an unreasonable health or safety concern.
Examples include: Aggressive animals; Unsafe electrical conditions; Structural instability; Hazardous materials; Excessive clutter; Unsanitary conditions; Threatening or abusive behaviour; Illegal activity; Unsafe weather conditions; or Interference with tools or work areas.
The customer must not enter restricted work areas or use tools, ladders, equipment, incomplete fixtures, or unfinished construction without permission.
We may suspend work until an unsafe condition is corrected.
11. Hidden and Unexpected Conditions
Renovation and repair work may reveal conditions that could not reasonably be identified before work began.
These may include: Water damage; Rot; Mould; Pest damage; Improper previous repairs; Outdated or unsafe wiring; Plumbing leaks; Structural movement; Missing supports; Code deficiencies; Asbestos-containing materials; Lead-based materials; or Other concealed damage.
Work required to investigate or correct these conditions is not included unless specifically stated in the original quote.
CMB Handyman Services will notify the customer where reasonably possible before completing additional chargeable work. Work may be paused until the customer approves a revised scope and price.
12. Hazardous Materials
Unless specifically agreed in writing, CMB Handyman Services does not inspect for, test, remove, or remediate asbestos, mould, lead, biological contamination, or other hazardous substances.
If suspected hazardous material is discovered, we may stop work and require the customer to arrange professional testing or remediation.
The customer is responsible for costs and delays resulting from hazardous materials that were not disclosed before work began, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
13. Materials
Materials may differ slightly in colour, grain, texture, pattern, shade, or appearance from samples, photographs, online images, or existing materials.
Exact matches cannot always be guaranteed, especially when matching older paint, flooring, tile, wood, hardware, cabinets, fixtures, or discontinued products.
If a selected material becomes unavailable, CMB Handyman Services will discuss reasonable alternatives with the customer before making a significant substitution.
Unused special-order or custom materials may not be returnable.
14. Customer-Supplied Materials
CMB Handyman Services may agree to install customer-supplied products or materials.
The customer is responsible for confirming that those items are: Correctly sized; Complete; Undamaged; Suitable for the intended use; Compatible with the property; and Available when required.
We are not responsible for manufacturing defects, missing components, poor product quality, incorrect measurements supplied by the customer, or failures caused by customer-supplied products.
Additional labour caused by defective, incomplete, incompatible, or incorrect customer-supplied materials may result in additional charges.
Any manufacturer warranty remains between the customer and the manufacturer or retailer unless otherwise agreed.
15. Permits, Inspections, and Code Requirements
Responsibility for permits, inspections, engineering, drawings, or third-party approvals will be identified in the project agreement where they may be required.
CMB Handyman Services will not knowingly perform work that violates applicable building, electrical, plumbing, fire, safety, or municipal requirements.
If an authority requires additional work or changes that were not included in the original quote, the project price and schedule may be adjusted.
The customer must disclose any known unpermitted work or previous code violations that could affect the project.
16. Subcontractors and Suppliers
CMB Handyman Services may use subcontractors, independent tradespeople, suppliers, delivery providers, or other professionals where reasonably necessary.
Relevant customer and project information may be shared with those parties only as needed to quote, schedule, supply, or complete the work, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
17. Existing Property and Incidental Damage
CMB Handyman Services will take reasonable care while working at the property.
However, construction, renovation, installation, and repair work may involve dust, vibration, noise, temporary interruptions, minor surface disturbance, or the removal of existing materials.
We are not responsible for: Pre-existing damage; Hidden defects; Weak, deteriorated, or improperly installed materials; Damage caused by undisclosed plumbing, electrical, utility, or structural conditions; Damage caused by customer interference; Failure of customer-supplied products; or Damage that could not reasonably have been avoided while completing authorized work.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Cleanup and Disposal
The project agreement will determine whether cleanup, debris removal, disposal fees, or material transportation are included.
Unless otherwise stated, CMB Handyman Services will perform reasonable cleanup related to its work but is not responsible for full-house cleaning or removal of unrelated customer waste.
Hazardous-material disposal, unusually heavy materials, appliances, furniture, or pre-existing debris may involve additional charges.
19. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.
Cancellations may result in charges for: Special-order or non-returnable materials; Materials already purchased; Delivery or restocking fees; Permit or subcontractor costs; Work already performed; or Other costs specifically disclosed in the project agreement.
Any deposit refund will depend on the approved agreement, work already completed, materials purchased, committed third-party costs, and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation or refund right that a customer has under mandatory Saskatchewan consumer-protection or direct-sales laws.
20. Suspension or Termination of Work
CMB Handyman Services may suspend or terminate work where: Required payments are not made; Safe access is not provided; The customer requests unlawful or unsafe work; The customer materially changes the work without approving revised costs; The customer, occupant, or visitor threatens, abuses, or harasses workers; Hazardous or concealed conditions prevent the work from continuing; Required approvals cannot be obtained; or Continuing the project would be unsafe, unlawful, or outside the agreed scope.
The customer remains responsible for properly completed work, ordered materials, and reasonable committed costs up to the date work is suspended or terminated, subject to applicable law.
21. Workmanship and Warranties
Any specific workmanship warranty will be stated in the written quote, invoice, or project agreement.
A workmanship warranty does not cover: Normal wear and tear; Customer misuse or neglect; Damage caused by another contractor or person; Alterations made after our work; Water infiltration or building movement unrelated to our work; Manufacturer defects; Customer-supplied materials; Failure to maintain the property or product; Damage caused by weather, pests, accidents, or events outside our control; or Pre-existing or concealed conditions.
Customers must report a suspected workmanship issue within a reasonable period and allow CMB Handyman Services a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, correct the issue.
